About me
You may feel as if you are grappling with confusion and dissatisfaction; feel stuck, lost or unsure what to do. Counselling could help you as it will allow you make sense of what is happening and find hope beyond your current situation. It will give you permission to make effective decisions and choices.
Counselling is an activity in which you choose to engage; therefore, you should not feel forced or pressurised into attending.
If you have been considering therapy, I offer an authentic environment which is free from criticism or judgement. It's a candid, relaxed atmosphere and will support you to explore any issues you are facing. We can journey unearthing more awareness about how you are leading your life, and in what way the impact your past may be having on your present; and through those concerns how you wish to establish a sense of empowerment and progressive well-being.
I believe that transformation has a lasting impact on the way we lead our lives and that, being recognised for ourselves, is profoundly healing. It will help in gaining an understanding of who we are, resilience to the challenges’ life inevitably brings.
I recognise that all people, are unique so adopt an Integrative way of work in which I use theories and ideas from different therapeutic models. Each person requires separate support, so I always work in a way that is individual to you and the issues you are presenting with.
Due to an urge to support the welfare of people I initially commenced my career in personnel (HR). This grew into a desire to support not only the welfare but also the education and progress of people, so I advanced my skills into education where my people aspirations transformed into a more therapeutic approach. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am bound by their Ethical Framework for The Counselling Professions, BACP registered.

Getting Started
I offer a free telephone consultation that takes no more than half an hour. This usually gives both of us a chance to find out a bit more before committing to any paid appointments.
If you decide that I am the person you would like to work with we will find a regular weekly time that suits us both.
During the first session I try to find out what your goals and expectations are of therapy. I will regularly review with you, to see how you feel the therapy is progressing.
